Our new studio website, we built from the ground up of course. We’re a lively little creative studio, with such a diverse range of clients that we rely on the raw power and flexibility of ExpressionEngine to meet our needs.
The site has a couple of interesting features, most notably the way it handles the background images. We deliver an image which is sized and compressed to appropriately match the resolution of the browser, saving bandwidth and leading to snappier browsing. This is made possible thanks to EE Channels handling our data, allowing flexible ways to get our data, and the fantastic CE Image which does all the heavily lifting by resizing and compressing our image automatically. We also utilise CE Image to apply watermarks and compound image operations, again mostly in our background images.
Additionally, we’ve found tweaks and useful functionality thanks to Minimee’s automatic CSS and JavaScript minification, CP Analytics so we can see Google Analytics in the admin dashboard, and P&T Assets to make managing our image files so much easier.
